I was planning to build a rig for fun since I need something to do. I’ve been looking around and it’s been super mixed & polarized leaving me confused. I would like to build rigs using 12 1080ti’s. Electricity is fluctuating between 0,03c & 0,046c/kwh and actually will be intstalling solar panels soon (even though selling to the network is getting really good prices currently, despite my own very beneficial contract).

1) Is it better to go 2x 6 gpu’s or 1 rig with 12 gpu’s? Will I need an electrician to do change things? (BoL is one so that’s easy if needed) 2) with eth moving from pow to pos soon, will the rig have a decent longevity or is mining for individuals coming to an end all together? 3) anyone has fun ideas on how to use the generated heat? Was thinking of somehow integrating it to my hot water boiler or central heating (can cost more money than it saves, it’s more a principle thing)
