I just switched motherboards on my 6x 5700XT rig to the b250 mining expert and now all 6 cards are working which is great. But now, with the new motherboard, it doesn’t come with built in wifi. So I got this ASUS Archer T6E wifi pcie adapter. The adapter works fine and I can access the internet on it, but whenever I start mining, as soon as I connect to the mining pool, connection permanently drops. As soon as i close PhoenixMiner, internet connection is restored. Please help with possible solutions, thanks.
Things I’ve tried:
-Putting the wifi adapter in different pcie slots
-Reinstalling the wifi adapter drivers
-Going on Ethernet connection (temporarily, which works so eliminates certain possibilities for the failure, but I cannot have it on ethernet all the time)
Possible Solutions:
-Is it because its a PCIE wifi adapter and the lanes are full when mining?
-What if I bought a wifi extender with ethernet cable attachable, that I plug into the rig.
-Anything else to try before going out and buying something?
